SPORTS COACHING PROGRAM/ SPORTS ACADEMIES

RSA's Coaching Program aims to develop skills in three different stages :-

1 Cognitive Stage:

  • Mental Understanding
For any athlete to master the given sport, it is of utmost importance to hold a proper understanding of that sport. At RSA, we ensure that aspiring athletes receives a prior knowledge of the sport instead of directly jumping into it. This helps in learning the skill quickly and finding out creative solution on your own.
  • By Demonstration of the Skill
Along with providing verbal information of the skill, visual demonstration also is equally important. Visualization is a powerful tool to learn the tactics clearly by observing the demonstration.

2. Associated Stage

  • Trial and Error
This is transformative stage where the athlete processes the knowledge of the skill received and applies first hand implementation of the skill. Patience is the most required aspect here at this stage as it takes long hours of maximum efforts before finding the suitable skill to perform the tactics.
  • Tuning and Honing
At this stage, the athlete puts consciousness to work. He/she finds their own way to execute the learned skill in the best way possible. This the foundational stage where the athlete develops different patterns and styles to tackle the situation and achieve the goal.
  • Practice
Practice is the aspect whose importance goes without saying. Learning a skill until an athlete masters it is the core purpose of practicing. Also, it is a stage where athlete comes to realization about their strength and weaknesses.

3. Autonomous Stage

  • Automatic
After years of practicing, the athlete arrives to this stage where they start displaying perfection, they reache to an elite state where athelete is able to defend and motor performance becomes largely automatic, where cognitive processing demands are minimal.
  • Focus on tactics and decision making.
In-spite of acquiring all the required skills, athlete’s mind can get diverted towards outcome instead of focusing on the process and being fully attentive. To avoid this, it is important that athlete learns to focus on tactics, be in the present and learn to make quick decisions on next move.

RSA's Coaching Programme Emphasis on teaching skills by " IDEAS" Ideology i.e

  • I - Introducing the Skill
  • D - Demonstration Of The Skill
  • E - Explanation of The Skill
  • A - Assessment of the Players Practicing the skill through different activity (Error detection and correction)
  • S - Summarizing of the Skill Taught (Reinforcement of key points and encourage future practice)

RSA's Coaching PROGRAM sessions are designed in such a way that sessions are
